At ESPN.com, Pierre LeBrun writes that the trade market is currently quiet and no one wants to take on a significant contract with the salary cap coming down to $64.3 million.
LeBrun adds that he expects an activity filled April 3rd trade deadline, but say that a lot of the activity could take place in the offseason.
With Ryan O’Reilly, LeBrun says that many teams, including the Rangers, Senators, Leafs and Flyers, have all asked about O’Reilly but have been turned off by Colorado’s high asking price.
LeBrun spoke with one Eastern Conference GM who said that Colorado is only interested in moving O’Reilly if they can get a home-run offer for him.
THIS SECTION has all of the previous talk about O’Reilly and the Rangers.
Recently, Howson spoke about that trade.
