Buzz: Could The Next Charity Hockey Game Be In NY…..Central Park?

At USA Today, Randy Miller writes that there is already talk of a sequel to the Operation Hat Trick game from Saturday in Atlantic City and that game would take place in New York City.

Todd Fedoruk, who helped organize the game in AC, said that he liked the idea of putting the game on in Central Park.

There are two rinks in Central Park, Wollman Rink near 59th street and Lasker Rink by Central Park North. Lasker has two rinks and one that is dedicated to hockey.

The Flyers and Penguins have both practiced at Lasker Rink which would likely be the site of the game.

Lasker Rink is also the home to Ice Hockey In Harlem, the program that the Rangers are very involved with. The NHL and their law firm Proskauer Rose are also sponsors of Ice Hockey in Harlem.
