Read: How The Derek Stepan to Finland Deal Came Together

Yesterday Derek Stepan arrived in Finland and took part in his first practice for KarPa.

He spoke with the Finnish press and said that he hoped to play tonight when KarPa plays the Pelicans.

Stepan said that the process of moving to play in Finland worked fast and once he found out that the team was interested in him, he became interested because of the quality of play in the league.

Stepan said that with the exception of a connection he once made in Helsinki, yesterday was the first time he was ever in Finland. He added that it’s a new and unfamiliar scene to him but one he is trying to make the best of,”I didn’t know anything or any players, I am trying to fit in as fast as I can and help out any way I can.”

10:42AM: According to Matias Strozyck, Stepan will start on the top line for KalPa

That was a great interview.  Idzik gave a lot of useful information.

I got as much out of it as I do when Belichick gets interviewed.

whether you guys like it or not, Idzik is do one more chance unless Woody can get some good ppl in place before he gets the can. The league will be on watch to see how the employees are treated. That type of origination does not get good candidates.

I need to see how he responds  with his back against the wall. Everyone deserves that, he just has to get better talent evaluaters .

Number one!  Change the uniforms to more like Oregon state the greys and a green number. They have awesome uniforms bet you sell more Jerseys.

Number two!  the schedule was staked against us this year.. therefor ..so maybe we could have spent out and  still be without  any chemistry between every one... So maybe drafting high this year getting a good QB. is the right way to go and not spending money . we needed to see what these younger players can do anyhow.

There comes a time where every team has rebuild.. unless you have a great QB which we seem to never have.

Ok I sing you a song.... I got da blues da blogger blues I got to stink this year and pay my dues. I get to pic a way up hi dats. that way it goes don't ask me why..

the jets nation according to idzik is the thing that motivates him to get up in the morning. before idzik goes to bed he prays to the "jets nation". when he wakes up he thanks the "jets nation". and he names all his pets "jets nation 1", "jets nation 2" ect ect

Apparently you did NOT learn anything from last year, Idzik....the team is WORSE than last year Idzik !!!

And Jane, why did you let him deflect blame by not drilling him on his opening comment that "you can't predict injuries and defections"....how about a piss poor draft TWO YEARS in a ROW !!!

This is a SERIOUS problem with the Jets fan base.....anyone asking tough questions is labeled a HATER !!

"This has to be a success now and into the future."

When does the 'success now' begin?

I'll take a ham sandwich over this idiot as a GM - he has no business running a lemonade stand let alone a football organization!

@Monty  How about just stop whining?

Now you can pay money to whine on a really big billboard.

If Woody makes any decisions based on whining fans, I'll lose any respect I have for him.

@Steven Windeler @Monty these owners have huge egos...having your entirely pissed off fanbase taking out ad space and leaving the stadium empty will have an impact..If you find it easier to not do anything and yap about thingsw thats fine.. but action changes things not apathy.. its a good life lesson for you Steven If you want things to change you have to take action to change them ,, or you might as well shut the f up .: ]

Steven, STOP being a suck-up apologist and call a spade a spade !!

That billboard WILL do more to bring corrective action than a thousand of your APOLOGIES for INEPTITUDE !!!

@Steven Windeler @Monty A good businessman who doesn't know the product very well should listen to his paying customers who do know something about football, even if they tend to be impatient. Who else would he answer to?
