Vick knows he is 2 or 3 bad games from Geno from taking that job. No need for urgency. That is close to being a sure bet. Pat d 5pts I think the success of the Jets WRs as a group depends alot on Hill. I don't expect Hill to do much and as a result the Jets WRs will again be a group that is closer to being 32nd rather than 1st in ratings. Some here have stated that Kerley is the clear #2 WR like it is a good thing. This group of WRs will be easy to defend against. Without a speedy WR opposite Decker he will not have close to the success he had in Denver. There is going to be a traffic jam of WRs for the Jets with no one stretching the field. marcus81 5pts Hill's last year if he doesn't come around, his saving grace are all the injuries to the receivers bradysucks 5pts Alshon Jeffrey? F No !!!!!Stephen Hill? F yes!!!!!sincerely,Mike Tannenbaum (Dolphins paid consultant) Brendan 5pts Hahaha, Le'Veon Bell didn't know you could get a DUI for being stoned. That rookie symposium is really doing god's work. nickballs 5pts hey Joey, where u at....which team you rooting for tonight? or you got that double sided Jets/giants jersey on again? jaym 5pts Vick on Geno: 'No patience' in NFL for young QBshttp://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000381733/article/vick-on-geno-no-patience-in-nfl-for-young-qbs?campaign=Twitter_atl nickballs 5pts ahhhhh....snooopy bowl time.....love Jets gameday...but FU$$ the Giants and every giants fan...including Joeyboy who roots for both teams bob 5pts This is how the Giants see the Jets players and who to keep an eye on. who they think the best are in order at each position. Its called know your opponent.http://www.giants.com/photos/photos/Know-your-opponent-New-York-Jets/a03330c2-e3d0-4ad3-8e98-63e34339a396 WW85 5pts Decker Kerley Nelson. Salas. Ford. 4 guys fighting for the last spot. Hill. Gates Enunwa Hakim. Not sure what happens with Saunders. Not sure how much handicap you give to Hill based on potential. I'd give the spot to the best guy right now. Sounds like Gates DarrolRayFanClub 5pts @Pat d I think you're right about Hill being the wild card. We know what Decker, Kerley and even Nelson is at this point. If Hill is a non-factor then the WRs are just ok, if he busts out they can be a serious crew. Pat d 5pts The fact that Vick is one play away from being the starter was set in stone from day one. Vick was going to be the back up. Vick knows it is more likely he is 2 or 3 bad games from Geno to becoming the starter. No need for urgency because it is sure to happen. williamg1 5pts @a57se We all miss Jenny covering the Jets. At least, we should. jmactheman 5pts @a57se Wait, Vick is confirmed to not be the starter? That's not what ESPN, the NYDN, and whoever Costello works for keep telling me. roadyhorns 5pts @a57se Vick has wizened up over the years. I appreciate the way he's handled himself. What good would it do for him to make a big stink about being the starter? If it's in the cards, then it will come to him in due time. I want Geno to succeed, but Vick deserves a starting shot, somewhere, sometime. j_spikett 5pts @a57se i came out after the vick signing and stated that it was a bad signing. i have nothing against vick personally and feel he has paid his debt to society ect but i think the time he was inprison diminished his skills. that and his age led me to believe he is washed up. they were better off going with simms. i like simms and think he is capable of being a starter. who knows what his capability is? no one knew what brady could do until he was given a chance right? Brendan 5pts @a57se Huh? Disgruntled Jets Fan 5pts LOL https://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/status/502819599734173697 juunit 5pts @Brendan I've ran into people in LA who think that because you can legally smoke it you can also legally drive on it.I think the craziest part is how a guy named Blount avoided marijuana charges. Disgruntled Jets Fan 5pts Wow. RockyMountainJet 5pts @nickballs Yoey does whatever a cimini article tells him to do. Disgruntled Jets Fan 5pts You know what, I have to give props to Vick, he's really been a class act. nickballs 5pts @bob Fu$$ the giants jmactheman 5pts @WW85 I'm not sure Ford goes in the 5 spot. I would think the depth chart is Decker Kerley Nelson Salas... and then Hill and Saunders. Enunwa and Hakim to the practice squad. (I think Hakim is PS-eligible.) nickballs 5pts @williamg1 @a57se i dont.....she garbage like the rest of em hazard2012 5pts @williamg1 @a57se Not if this drivel is the best she can do. More 'let's try and create a story where there isn't one ' type of tripe. Jenny is inching closer to Cimini and Manish. Getting so it's not safe to read anything about the Jets in the media. Pat d 5pts I don't like Vick either but he is better than Simms. Hell he's better than Geno. Brendan 5pts @j_spikett So you were wrong from the getgo. Cool. Disgruntled Jets Fan 5pts Vick >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Simms >> Boyd juunit 5pts @Disgruntled Jets Fan Cops to Le'Veon Bell: "You need to get a better dealer." Brendan 5pts @Disgruntled Jets Fan I asked him if he, or any of his passengers smoked marijuana today and he replied, "It was about a minute ago." I asked him if he could define what he meant by that and he replied "We smoked within the last two hours."Hahaha what an idiot. "It was about a minute ago." Are youuuuuu kidding me? williamg1 5pts @Disgruntled Jets Fan Giving weedsmokers a bad name. Bent moderator 5pts @nickballs @bob Why do we need to make a fuss of them? juunit 5pts @jmactheman @WW85 Based on the way the depth chart has revealed itself in the actual games, Hill is 4 and Salas is about 7. WW85 5pts Everything I've read is that Ford has had a good camp and with Saunders new issues, I don't see how Ford gets cut. I understand putting Hill in as the 6 but id be happier with Gates or Enunwa and maybe even Hakim. Hill just doesn't strike me as a football player. Not sure this game is for him. Hope I'm wrong. Brendan 5pts @nickballs Jenny was anything but garbage when she covered the Jets. williamg1 5pts @hazard2012 @williamg1 @a57se I don't know. I read the article and its pretty balanced. Doesn't seem like she's trying to do anything wrong. It was actually pretty insightful. roadyhorns 5pts @a57se @roadyhorns I don't think your reply has anything to do with my comment. bklyndude 5pts @a57se I think Vick knows the job was Geno Smith's the whole time and he didn't want to play this game of charades as to who will win a one sided QB competition with the media. I think he has helped Geno as much as a veteran QB is capable of doing in training camp. And if the Jets need somebody to play QB because of either inefficiency or injury, Michael Vick can still play QB in that role and the Jets will be in better shape than last year. Vick has proven his legs and arm are still very good.I can't for the life of me figure out why people are so against having a decent backup QB after last season. nickballs 5pts @a57se yeah im sure this story legit....the jets have stopped all leaks since Idzik, but now they all leaking that they dont like Vick..sure..... Disgruntled Jets Fan 5pts Ha!!!! Disgruntled Jets Fan 5pts This is no time to be fussing around! gbrownn 5pts I've always had Ford making the team, he showed strong hands the first preseaon game making a couple tough catches. Dude has bonafie speed. As a 4th/5th reciever hes a guy a defense will forget about. MM will prob have 2-3 plays called for designed to get him downfield. He brings wayyy more to the table then Hill does IMO williamg1 5pts @Brendan @nickballs Which is why she was awarded a national job. hazard2012 5pts @williamg1 @hazard2012 @a57se Somewhat disagree. For whatever reasons, Vick has apparently come to terms with his situation here with the Jets. He wasn't brought here to displace Geno...until/unless Geno falters. That was always the basic condition of his employment. It's never been about who's better this year, but who's potentially better for the Jets two and three years down the road...,when Idzik believes the team he's assembling will be otherwise ready to vie for a championship. Vick is an insurance policy in case Geno isn't that guy. He's got enough left to bridge the gap if Geno stumbles and the Jets need to get a long-term solution at QB next year. Why is that so hard for the media to grasp? Probably the same reason they're fixated on Jonny Benchball. They don't know enough about the game or the teams playing it to write anything of real substance. bklyndude 5pts @a57se @Brendan @Disgruntled Jets Fan It's better to be thought to be stupid, than to open your mouth and prove it !!!I hate stupid athletes, glad he's on Pittsburgh. RockyMountainJet 5pts @a57se @roadyhorns I don't think this comment has anything to do with either of your comments. bklyndude 5pts @a57se @bklyndude @Brendan @Disgruntled Jets Fan If you don't know by now that smoking weed can get you into trouble with the NFL, I can't help but think you are really stupid. bklyndude 5pts @a57se @bklyndude @Brendan @Disgruntled Jets Fan they are honest idiots.......Because they are stoned and usually stoners are peaceful loving idiots who don't really care about lying. That's not a commentary on legalization or being judgemental in it's use, but if you are a professional athlete with a contract, you do need to understand it or you are pretty stupid. bklyndude 5pts @a57se @bklyndude @Brendan @Disgruntled Jets Fan Think about what Josh Gordon has risked in terms of his future earnings just to smoke a little weed. Although it's becoming clear he may have a more serious problem than just a casual user.
