Note: Michael Del Zotto is NOT Playing Today

The Rangers have announced that Arron Asham, Rick Nash, Ryan McDonagh and Michael Del Zotto are not in the lineup tonight against the Jets.

Henrik Lundqvist is in goal.

Asham is dealing with back spasms, McDonagh hasn’t skated since taking that hit from Max Pacioretty, Del Zotto was crunched along the boards against the Senators and Nash said today that he wasn’t playing.

Del Zotto did skate yesterday at Rangers practice.

File under "just saying": Nassib plays over Manning at some point this year.

I thought this was a really good effort.  Chan has installed a great system imo, and Fitzpatrick is nearly ideal as the point guard to run it.  I really think Fitz looks like a gun slinging Dan Fouts out there.  This could be a monster year for him if he stays healthy.  (I don't know what will happen when Geno gets healthy.)

The first team offensive line continues to shine.  The running game looked very solid to me.  Ivory is nearly great.  Stacy isn't bad. Powell is a very underrated backup.  FB is a problem, but cuts are coming so we'll have to see what happens.

Decker-Marshall-Kerley (if he ever sees the field again)-insert a TE here will be a very formidable receiver corp.  We haven't had a stud WR like Marshall in what seems like forever.

The defense I'm not even going to worry about aside from Calvin Pryor but we have quality depth at his position.

By the end of the year, I think Cro is splitting time with either Williams or someone else.

Really hoping Kenjon Barber gets cut from the eagles... cut Tommy Bohannan and move the bowling ball Stacy to fullback

@Wayne Redfield

Well, if he doesn't, Monangai (just as impressive) probably will.

Also, thank Bob Decker didn't get hurt "returning" punts. Probably gave his agent an anxiety attack.

I thought the tackling by the first unit was the best it was this preseason, which is encouraging.

"five completions to Odell Beckham Jr."

Think it's worth noting that Bechham on those five completions had a total of only 31 yards.

ESPN is forcing the whole Beckham thing by showing a bunch of non-plays in their game highlites . Jets have wrs too! And one caught a TD last nite!

That sideline play was made out to be the biggest non catch since Dez in the playoffs!

Coverage was a little scary and Decker muffing that punt...geez, I almost lost it!

Was Folks' extra point tipped? If it wasn't, then that was the worst kick ever!

this was a good dress rehearsal, when team gets healthy only player who won't be back till week 9 is Richardson, Goodell will probably get him for the reckless driving,

too bad Allen is gone for the year, Pryor is still learning his position

@marcus81

Pryor is terrible...the Louisville slugger that can't tackle...

It worked, for the most part against 19 year old kids but he is playing v men now...

Marshall and Decker are phenomenal together. Once we get Devin Smith, Jace Amaro, and Kerley healthy this offense can be very explosive.

Fitz has been protecting the football. So happy about this

Ivory, Powell, & Stacy are solid. The starting o-line looks to be very good....

This is the Best offense the Jets have had since we had Keyshawn, Chrebet, Richie Anderson & Curtis Martin

Pump the brakes a little bro, it is only preseason but there is reason to be optimistic.

BS doesn't even have brakes. It's full speed ahead, with frequent u-turns.

Thoughts on the game:

So glad Fitz is our starter. Finally stability at the QB spot

Demario Davis is lucky there is no one good behind him

Trevor Reilly is not ready for prime time.

Giants D is not good

@Pete 57

I hope they tell Fitzy not to try blocking downfield anymore, we really need to keep him healthy.

Seems Chan knows how to use him, and it really helps that they can run the ball.

The running ga,e was pretty good tonight...but the Giants don't have the best run defense either...

They'd be better if they put Kenrick in with the starters.

McGeorge

I only heard Pryor's name once, on a missed tackle for a big gain.

I hope Leonard Williams knew isn't seriously hurt.

The Giants didn't look very good, so I wouldn't  draw many conclusions from this game.

The Giants d isn't good, the Giants o isn't bad and they really didn't do much....

Especially after the words "And with the 18th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the New York Jets select..."

EJ Manuel had a perfect QB rating tonight. How does Rex keep falling into such stud QBs?
