Adam’s Thoughts:

  • The Rangers have now lost two in a row and three of four heading into Montreal where, at least over the past few seasons, they do not play well.
  • When the Rangers went up 2-1 with those quick goals it seemed like a guy where the Rangers were going to talk about finding a way to win. They had chances, were sloppy, hit some posts but it seemed like they were going to do just enough to pull out a 2-1 win. But Brian Boyle takes a holding penalty, Ottawa ties the game back up and the Rangers only get one of two points they wanted to leave with.
  • It set up perfectly for Brad Richards to score the shootout winner, get the Broadway Hat and get his game back in order. It didn’t happen and on top of that, he took a beating in this game.
  • Michael Del Zotto looked to be in serious discomfort after taking that hit. Anton Stralman has stepped up and been a nice player for the Rangers, but the depth on defense is shaky at best.
