You had guys like Greg Salas starting games last year. Acquiring Marshall makes Decker better, which makes Kerley better. Amaro should be better as well. I understand the TOs and mistakes, but you have to see what you really have. Plus, the alternatives are not great right now. Chris Tripucka 5pts What ever happened to the notion that you have to earn a spot. In two years Geno has done nothing to earn a starting NFL job. Arturo Santiago Muzac 5pts On the field he's gone backwards with his play (which wasn't that good to begin with). Off the field he can't tell time and misses a meeting, gives a fan the finger, says he played like a pro-bowler at times, and basically didn't back his coach and says a change at coach might be good. Why would the Jets keep him? He's got less attributes than most Qbs..... #LastChance Bobby Hughes 5pts come on already. hitchhiker 5pts Livefyre is really slow to load additional comments, so idk if this has been posted already, but this "article" is very misleading & SNY should be embarrassed. The following quote provides much better context:"You take positions in training camp," Bowles said. "You're first-team, you want to stay first-team, you do your job. If you're not, you don't do your job, but we haven't seen Geno in a quarterbacking situation, so I'm not saying he's not going to be the quarterback or he is going to be the quarterback, he just starts out there."http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/03/bowles_tktktk.html McGeorge 5pts @hitchhiker This makes me feel a lot better. Bowles isn't wedded to Geno. I think if Geno competes against Fitpatrick, Fitz will win by making less mistakes (and he'll still make plenty) Willis Cunningham 5pts So, just because you have a father that played and a brother that plays, gives him an automatic leg up? FOH!... There are numerous QB's in the league, that didn't have family play, and are just as good or better... Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, etc... Don't try and twist my words up. I was comparing their play respectively, not whether or not it runs in the family... Dan Fuge 5pts No no no!!! Daniel Arellano 5pts FA had the hopes up. All gone, thanks Obama Kevin Truex 5pts That's why I said hope! Max Arenstein 5pts Right that is what I heard too. Are you even semi aware of what's going on?Hey guy's Do people reply to the FB posts or typically ignore them? Brendan 5pts @OriginalNick Ignore them. greggreen 5pts thoughts on jets likely signing Douzable replacement? a57se 5pts @greggreen They have four replacement level D'linemen who will be vying for two depth slots on the D'line...None of them are as good as Douz or Ellis. a57se 5pts @greggreen Maybe they'll draft a young guy with upside later on in the draft.I like Tyeler Davison as an option for NT. greggreen 5pts @a57se @greggreen yeah the only thing is , rounds where i usually like drafting those guys we dont have. 4th i wouldnt mind. But anything higher with our dline is a waste IMO greggreen 5pts @a57se @greggreen whos the 4th guy? vickerson, barnes, bowen.....im spacing on the last one a57se 5pts @greggreen @a57se Davison should be there in the 7th... a57se 5pts @greggreen @a57se Talley. greggreen 5pts @a57se @greggreen oh yeah a57se 5pts @greggreen @a57se Household name, HOW could you forget him??? greggreen 5pts Ok so i have SNY sign in but i cant figure out how to get my Profile pick to show up. Any help? greggreen 5pts @a57se @greggreen ahhh, figured as much. used to use disqus but oh well a57se 5pts @greggreen Can't do it with a SNY account...need a twitter account. jetsjerk 5pts I like Scherff, but he isn't a #6 pick and won't be there for round 2. a57se 5pts @jetsjerk Disagree... a57se 5pts Iowa OL Brandon Scherff recorded a 7.07 three-cone time at the school's pro day. Scherff also produced a 4.41 20 yard short shuttle. He ran neither at the Combine. The 7.07 would have been good for second best at the Combine since 2006. Just for fun, Scherff's 3-cone time was faster than WR Jamison Crowder, Dezmin Lewis and just .01 slower than Chris Conley's. We think a team will see Scherff as this year's Zack Martin and select him to play guard, even though he could absolutely hold up at tackle. teams like to mimic recent successes of other clubs. Per Rotoworld Pretty bad when an Offensive Linemen has a better 3-cone then undersized WR's...Pretty good for Scherff and for teams who prefer ZBS for the O'lines. a57se 5pts My the QB's are already gone pick for the Jets at 6...Where's Bob with his Like button? tsjc68 5pts Crowder is undersized. Dezmin Lewis and Chris Conley are both Stephen Hill-sized, though. a57se 5pts @tsjc68 And Scherff has 100 lbs. or more on all of them...that is impressive for a man his size. Cordell C 5pts Doubt he can play lt though all I hear is that he doesnt have the hips for it a57se 5pts @SackDance99 @a57se If Dave Cadigan was on the board, we wouldn;t take him... Plus Cadigan was a better football player for the Jets then Johnny Lam Jones or Vernon Gholston... SackDance99 5pts @a57se @SackDance99 In 1988, the Jets took Cadigan over Michael Irvin, among others.... a57se 5pts @SackDance99 @a57se We know... a57se 5pts @SackDance99 @a57se and in 1980 we took Johnny Lam Jones over Anthony Munoz... Tooned In 5pts @SackDance99 @a57se The absolute best one of these is the Roger Vick selection. The look on Rozelle's face is priceless when he makes the announcement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZxNeFLuY98 OriginalNick 5pts @SackDance99 @a57se I know Bradway worked for the Giants back then, but can I still blame this pick on him? a57se 5pts @Tooned In @SackDance99 @a57se Joe Walton was a joke... SackDance99 5pts @a57se Nothing like drafting like it's 1988...And, with the 8th pick of the draft, the Jets select Dave Cadigan, Guard, USC. J. Smooth 5pts @Tooned In @SackDance99 @a57se I flagged this comment for triggering emotional trauma. a57se 5pts @J. Smooth @Tooned In @SackDance99 @a57se Were you alive then? J. Smooth 5pts @a57se @J. Smooth @Tooned In @SackDance99 No, thankfully we've drafted slightly better since I've been alive. hazard2012 5pts @Tooned In @SackDance99 @a57se Most of these were really painful to watch...again. J. Smooth 5pts @hazard2012 @Tooned In @SackDance99 @a57se Ironically, in the last seven or eight years, the pick that I was most against at the moment was Sheldon. hazard2012 5pts @J. Smooth @hazard2012 @Tooned In @SackDance99 @a57se I think most of us share that one. Not sure any of us saw that one coming...but think we're all very happy he was picked. SackDance99 5pts @a57se @SackDance99 Munoz was a left tackle...the only OL position worthy of a high draft pick. Cadigan was a guard...taking a guard over a quality WR is a draft blunder. SackDance99 5pts @J. Smooth @hazard2012 @Tooned In @SackDance99 @a57se It was Gholston for me...a clear Combine hero. a57se 5pts @SackDance99 @a57se Who did the almighty Giants draft right before Dallas took Irvin?
