In the Chicago Sun Times, Adam Johns writes that Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman is still looking to make some moves to alter his roster and one of them could be moving defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson.
Hjalmarsson, 25, has two years left on his contract and has a cap hit of $3.5 million.
Johns writes that with the emergence of Nick Leddy and re-signing of Johnny Oduya, Hjalmarsson has become expendable.
Prior to the draft, The Sun Times reported that the Blackhawks were actively shopping him.
He is a left handed defenseman and considered to be a shot blocking, stay at home defenseman.
