At Hockey Prospectus, Corey Pronman lists out who he thinks are the Rangers top ten prospects.
He lists the Rangers top prospect as Tim Erixon and Chris Kreider second. Michael St. Croix is ranked fourth and Christian Thomas is ranked seventh.
As an organization, Pronman says that they are “fairly average” and ranks them 20th in the NHL.

I have always thought that Pronman takes a much harder stance on prospects and rankings than others do. Hockey’s Future had the Rangers with a top ten system and that was before they acquired Tim Erixon. This is just one man’s opinion though and opinions on prospects and systems vary tremendously. There is much more out there that speaks more highly of the Rangers and their prospects.
Update: 12:05PM: Pronman ranked JT Miller ninth and said that his hockey sense was “fringe.” Gordie Clark says that the number one thing about Miller is his hockey sense.
