Read: Carl Hagelin and Tim Erixon are Top 50 Prospects (Update: Kreider Ranked)

4:38PM: Chris Kreider was ranked 19th on the list.

On Kreider, they write, “Kreider is a complete package of size, quickness, smarts, scoring and passing ability that is coupled with a respectable defensive game. His offensive skills may not be elite, but he will contribute in different ways on the ice.”

3:33PM: 4/25/12 Hockey’s Future is counting down the top 50 prospects in hockey and the Rangers have two prospects in the first batch that have been revealed.

Tim Erixon was ranked 45th and Carl Hagelin was ranked 36th.

On Erixon, they write, ” A jack-of-all-trades but master of none, Erixon possesses great hockey sense and plays a sound two-way game. He has the potential to be an elite, second-pairing defenseman in the not too distant future.”

On Hagelin, “While he’s likely never going to be a star, he has the makings of becoming a great complementary piece that all winning teams need to be successful.

The Hockey News ranked Tim Erixon as the Rangers best prospect.
