Read: Oscar Lindberg Is Really Impressing

Oscar LindbergAt Hockey’s Future, Oscar Lindberg is praised as being one of the better prospects playing in the European Pro Leagues.

Lindberg has had a big offensive year with 10 goals and 16 assists and they say that the scoring is not coming at the expense of his defense and two-way game “which remains Lindberg’s greatest asset.”

Describing him they write that Lindberg is a “smart two-way player ” that is excellent on faceoffs and should complement the Rangers.

READ MORE on Lindberg.

Adam Rotter: Maybe it is because the team has been so lackluster in previous years, but the thing that really draws me to Lindberg is his ability on faceoffs.

I remember Pete Carroll with the hand at his throat back in the day as the jet DC. Classless move I have never forgotten.

Free agent NT Terrence Cody has been indicted on animal-cruelty charges.

He's accused of abuse relating to both a dog and an alligator. Cody is also charged with "illegal possession of an alligator." (Seriously.) On top of everything else, he's been charged with drug possession. Already a fringe NFLer, it's hard to see Cody getting a deal in free agency. He's been a massive bust as the No. 57 overall pick of the 2010 draft. Source: Jamison Hensley on Twitter Feb 2 - 3:14 PM

Accused of abusing dogs and alligators...............WTF is going on in the NFL.

@tsjc68 as wonderful as the internet is, the concept of the freedom to be heard has never been more tested since the explosion of the blogesphere. Exemplified by this particular piece and Dan Leberfeld.

Be afraid...be afraid afraid.   Or, to paraphrase Mr. Barnum, never underestimate the stupidity of people.

@andrgreen That play call last night reminded me of 1994 Petey.

@tsjc68

What was the call?  Did they change it?  Did the QB have the authority to change it?  Are we sure he's going to sign his extension.

@tsjc68 He should have asked Frank Reynolds for advice about hoors.

@tsjc68  I'll believe it after due process has been done, he doesn't strike me as a person who would stoop that low, and as we know professional athletes have a big bulls eye marked on them by women especially and all they see is money.

@tsjc68 I love that photo of Sapp.

It reminds me of what I always tell the guy I know at the NFL -- that players should have multiple file photos that are dependent on the news. It's always weird when they announce a coach was fired or a player was released and the photo is them smiling.

@Bklyn Dude

So where is the corresponding report of how terrible Cody's life was growing up and how we should feel sorry for him...

@Bklyn Dude So many questions.

1. Why the hell do you want an alligator?

2. How the hell do you go about obtaining an alligator? Did he just wrestle one and throw it in the back of his truck?

3. Where the hell do you keep an alligator?

4. How the hell do you get caught with an alligator? Did he take it for a walk?

@tsjc68 The Google tells me that, Yes. Yes, he is.

There was a time when I couldn't wait for the JFK generation to die off so I didn't have to deal with their conspiracy dribble but that generation has been replaced by another filled with 9/11 nuts. And so it goes.

@Bent @tsjc68 FYI and FWIW, Seattle favored to win SB next year at 5-1 with Pats second favorite at 7-1. Vegas is telling you the better team lost (or so they think).

@Brendan @tsjc68 I actually enjoy his commentary on NFLN. He's not boring & pretty wise about football.

@a57se @Bklyn Dude I'm sure whatever you're referring to is a completely rational comparison without any bias or slant of any kind.

@J. Smooth I'm pretty sure they found it raiding his house. You see this fairly often in NYC, believe it or not. Those animals are not meant to be domesticated, anyone who tries to us just a scummy person.

I assume he was trying to one-up Vick by starting the world's first alligator-vs-dog fighting league.

FWIW - PFF only had two Pats players with a grade in the green (Edelman and Butler).  Seattle had 13.

No matter what you think of PFF's grades, a disparity that large definitely suggests that Seattle outplayed them.

Pretty  much every time one of these players does something stupid we hear about their horrible upbringing aa though that's an excuse for them...I just figured that would be coming soon for Cody.

I read the other day somewhere that there's more tigers privately owned and in personal captivity (as in, not in zoos, just by regular-ish people at their house like Mike Tyson and stuff) here in America than there are tigers walking around in the wild in Asia.

@tsjc68 How does the dog ever win? They cut off the alligator legs? So that's the cruelty part to give the dogs a chance for Chrissake

No argument from me that Seattle outplayed them on the field.  This one was lost on the sidelines, both the idiot call at the end and the whole defensive scheme that allowed Brady to pass short and underneath all game with no adjustment.  Pats had no running game and Brady had MVP passing numbers.  WTF!? This was so reminiscent of Rex letting Brady gobble yards hoping/expecting the big stop that doesn't come.

@Brendan versus all the other guys who are former Pats & sing about Brady & BB & the Patriot way all the time? Sapp not afraid to tell it like he sees it. Too bad he sees hookers. I hope he doesnt get fired for this tbh.

Maybe he's a big fan of that Discovery Channel show where they CGI-fight a gator vs. a prehistoric killer dinosaur fish and he was trying to make it real.

@WW85 NFL Network's show, minus Sapp, would probably be excellent. Zero ex-Pats or BB/Brady fluffers, you still have Faulk/Mooch/Warner/Irvin, you have the best point-man on any of these shows in Rich Eisen and you have a vacant spot for someone to fill (if they fire Sapp).

ESPN is the worst when it comes to loving the Pats, but they're just Boston-biased in general.
