John MooreIn the Eastern Conference Final, John Moore was suspended two games for a hit on Dale Weise.

Moore said that taking a major penalty for elbowing someone in the head is not who he is and that if he could do it over again he probably would not have finished that hit. Moore added that it was unfortunate that Weise got hurt and injuring him was not his intent.  (Sun Times)

In the regular season, Moore had 25 PIM including 1 fight, 4 roughing penalties, 2 interference penalties, 1 holding penalty, 3 hooking penalties and 59 hits.

In the playoffs, Moore had 1 match penalty for elbowing, 1 slashing penalty, 1 cross checking penalty, 1 tripping penalty and 18 hits.

He returned to the Rangers lineup in game two of the Stanley Cup Final.

Moore is an RFA right now and expected to sign a bridge contract.
