The Rangers have signed 2013 fourth round pick Ryan Graves to an entry-level contract.
Graves is 6-4, 225 and playing for Val d’Or Foreurs in the QMJHL this season. He was traded from Charlottetwon earlier this year and spent the previous two seasons with PEI in the QMJHL.
This season he has 5 goals and 17 assists with 68 PIM and since being traded, in 26 games, he is a plus 22.
Graves was ranked 8th in The Hockey News Future Watch for Rangers prospects. They wrote, “has made big strides on and off the ice. Profiting from trade to better club and weight training.”
- Ryan Graves, as a junior player, can have his contract slide next season and start the following year (2015-16). (Cap Geek)
- His cap hit will be $660,000 and his AHL salary will be $67,500.
Gordie Clark said after the draft last year that Graves had a strong second half after a so-so first half.
