Miller is the only returning forward for Team USA this year and is being looked at as a player that Team USA needs to count on.
He told NHL.com that he learned a valuable lesson playing for Team USA last season “I think you can’t take anything for granted. Losing to the Czechs and Finns, those two games we took as consideration to be wins. We have to make sure we take one game at a time and not overlook any competition.”
Rangers assistant GM Jeff Gorton told Blueshirts United “JT is looking at a bigger role this year. Hopefully he continues to bring that two-way game, adds some offense to that group–which we saw the first couple of days in Lake Placid—and just continues to get better.”
Miller can play in Plymouth, Hartford or with the Rangers this season.
12:24PM: Grant Sonier writes at ESPN Insider that Miller “wills his way around the ice and brings a great combination of skating, skill and work ethic.”
