Ray Ferraro was a guest on TSN’s Leafs Lunch today and spoke about the Rangers after broadcasting their loss to Vancouver last night.
Ferraro said, “they looked like a team that had been on the road for ten days, or 12 days. They looked disorganized at times, Lundqvist was terrible which is always a surprise to me because I think he is just a terrific goaltender. There were some goals, Henrik Sedin’s second goal, Burrows was in front of the net with about 20 feet, literally 20 feet around him it looked like a pee-wee game, your like, where is everybody!”
“Dan Girardi, who is a really good player was on the ice for all five goals against last night. The Rangers looked about as bad as they possibly could look. They got some good news with Derek Stepan signing. They are about 2 and a half weeks away, they think, of getting Ryan Callahan back and 3 and a half weeks until Carl Hagelin can come back. That is 3 really good forwards.”
He added, “I still think they will have the same problems and struggle to score goals, they should be good defensively.”
