4:28PM:  Ian Mendes tweets, “Murray confirms Nash wouldn’t waive NTC to come to Ottawa. “There was no sense in chasing – we didn’t feel that was necessary.”

4:07PM: Darren Dreger says that it appears the Flyers are out on Nash right now.

3:59PM: Brooks adds, “Told that Red Wing offer for Nash is not competitive…Carolina, Ottawa, Philly not on 61′s list.”

3:55PM: Larry Brooks tweets; “Another day, another attempt by Howson to prod Rangers into doing something won’t do. It’s a waste of time.”

Brooks updates and says, “Another day another attempt by Howson to prod NYR into doing something they wont do. Not trading Kreider, Stepan or McDonagh. Waste of time”

3:50PM: Carolina and Detroit are in a strong competition with New York Rangers for Rick Nash.Nothing imminent.Canes said to be pushing hard.

2: 57PM According to Darren Dreger on TSN, the Rangers are still the team that wants Rick Nash the most and that the Rangers and Blue Jackets have multiple trade scenarios in play and Columbus just needs to bite on one to make a deal.

TSN indicated that the teams making the best offers for Nash are the teams that are not on his preferred list of teams.

Chip Alexander tweets: Hearing if Canes’ free-agent bid for Parise fails, will further pursue trade for Nash. Apparently offer for Nash has been made.

Aaron Portzline tweets, “Confirmed that Carolina is NOT on Rick Nash’s list of approved teams. Ottawa also interested and not approved.”
