Update: 1:11PM: In the Daily News, Pat Leonard has this quote from Sidney Crosby:

“I think it’s just to be patient. That’s the most important thing,” Crosby said Tuesday morning. “There are days you feel really good and there are days it feels you really haven’t progressed that much, so you look at the good days as little victories, and you make sure you build on them, but I wouldn’t come back until you’re 100 percent. That’s my advice; however long it takes, it’s worth the wait. Just making sure you rest up your body.”

Update: 12:38PM: Larry Brooks writes in the NY Post that Staal has been symptom free for at least five weeks.

Update: 12:27PM: The team has no comment on this according to Andrew Gross

Original Post: Katie Strang writes at ESPN New York that Marc Staal has begun skating on his own.

She says that he has skated the past two days for the first time since being shut down for the Month of October.

The last report on Staal said that he was riding the stationary bike.

Last week, Bob McKenzie of TSN said that if Staal didn’t have any set backs he could be back shortly after the New Year.

It is still baby steps for Staal, but at least there was no issue with riding the bike. Hopefully there is no issue with skating and he can continue on his way back.
