In the Arizona Republic, Sarah McLellan writes that according to his agent, Shane Doan is likely to start seeing where he fits into the market tomorrow.
Doan set today as a deadline to see if there was an update on the ownership situation in Phoenix and the pursuit of Greg Jamison to buy the team.
Don Maloney said that he has not even considered the idea of Doan not being around for this coming season, “He’s still, as far as I’m concerned, going to be a member of the Coyotes.”
Kevin Allen writes in USA Today, “He might have the chance to be Crosby’s right wing or Pavel Datsyuk’s scorer or Mike Richards’ linemate. The majority of prime contenders covet Doan, who is a quality person, exceptional leader and still a heavy hitter and a 20-goal scorer.”
