Read: Signing Ryane Clowe Would Cost A Second Round Pick

Ryane Clowe1In the NY Post, Larry Brooks writes that the idea of signing Ryane Clowe comes down to more than just money.

He notes that Clowe had two concussions with the Rangers since being acquired and is believed to have suffered one in San Jose before the deadline.

The Rangers sent a second round pick and a third round pick in this year’s draft and if they re-sign Clowe then they have to send a second round pick in 2014 to San Jose. If the Rangers don’t re-sign Clowe then they send a fifth round pick to San Jose.

Brooks says that Clowe was struggling to keep up with the pace when he was healthy and that this price is “way too costly, by any measure.”

57% of readers want Clowe to return depending on the contract that he signs.
