Read: The Sharks May Be Open To Trading Dan Boyle If They Can Get A Forward

Last night on TSN, Darren Dreger mentioned that the San Jose Sharks are looking to make a move since the team has gone stale after a fast start.

Dreger said that San Jose is trying to move a defenseman to get a top-nine forward and that Dan Boyle’s name has been discussed.

At CSN Bay Area, Kevin Kurz writes that trading Boyle wouldn’t be a good move for the Sharks, “Trading Boyle for a forward, even though he’s the elder statesman at 36, would be playing with fire. He’s still arguably the Sharks’ best and most valuable defenseman, and if this team has any legitimate shot at a championship, Boyle is going to be a part of it. He leads the team in ice time again, with more than 23 minutes per game, and the Sharks simply have no one on their roster to replace those minutes.”

There were rumors over the summer, that were denied in almost every case, that the Rangers and Sharks had talked about a Dan Boyle and Marian Gaborik trade.
