Buzz: The Ducks Are/Were Only Listening To Bobby Ryan Requests

At ESPN Insider, Craig Custance writes that according to Bobby Ryan’s agent and GM the Ducks aren’t actively shopping Ryan and were only listening to offers from teams that thought they were going to make a move.

Custance quotes a GM as saying, “Are they trading him? Nobody has contacted me.”

Pierre LeBrun has said that the Ducks were only listening to offers while earlier reports suggested that they were shopping him.

The Ducks defeated the Canadiens last night 4-1 and hired Bruce Boudreau as coach.

These Bobby Ryan rumors have been all over the place the last few days. It would seem like he isn’t going to be dealt now that Boudreau is in place as coach but we do know, for whatever it is worth, that the Rangers do have interest in him. Maybe that comes into play down the line somewhere.

is the guy who vowed to attend every Knick game this season (home and away) still going strong? I think he said he was going to write a book thereafter. Probably won't make the Times' best seller list, but I'd buy it just out of sympathy for what the guy's put himself through.
