Buzz: Bobby Ryan May Cost A Center

According to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com, the Philadelphia Flyers are interested in Anaheim’s Bobby Ryan.

LeBrun says that any deal with the Flyers for Ryan would need to include 20-year-old center Brayden Schenn.

He notes that the Flyers don’t want to move Schenn and instead would rather move James vanRiemsdyk.

LeBrun thinks that Ryan could be a PLAN B for the Flyers if they miss out on Rick Nash.

Anaheim is reportedly not shopping Ryan, but is listening to offers.

Ryan is from Cherry Hill, NJ.

Adam Rotter: If Schenn would be required from the Flyers, you would think that Derek Stepan would be required for Bobby Ryan. The question that I have with moving Stepan for Ryan, is who then replaces Stepan as the second line center? Artem Anisimov is the easy choice but that is a big role for him to step into after having a down season.
