BUZZ: Bobby Ryan Is Available Again

6:30PM: McKenzie tweets, “If ANA moves Ryan I suspect it would be for two or three building block pieces that would increase organizational depth but not payroll.”

5:36PM: McKenzie adds: “That doesn’t mean Bobby Ryan is sure to be moved. It does means ANA’s phone will be/has been ringing and they will be keenly listening.

5:05PM: Bob McKenzie tweets “Hearing ANA’s Bobby Ryan is “available” again after being taken off trade market after Randy Carlyle’s Duck departure.”

According to readers, Ryan is far and away the top choice of players the Rangers could acquire.

Back in the fall the Ducks were listening to offers on Bobby Ryan.

Ryan is signed for three more seasons at $5.1 million per season. In a down season, Ryan had 31 goals and 26 assists. He had 7 points in 8 games for Team USA at the World Championships. He played under John Tortorella at the 2010 Olympics.

In November, it was reported that the Rangers untouchable roster players, in regards to Bobby Ryan, were Ryan Callahan, dan Girardi, Ryan McDonagh, Michael Sauer, Marc Staal and Derek Stepan.

Back in January it was reported that the cost to get a player like Ryan was two high end prospects and two first round picks.

It was reported that despite their interest in him, the Rangers never made a trade proposal for Ryan back in the fall.
