At CBC, Dan Oldfield writes that the NHL and NHLPA are finally on the right track to getting a deal done.
He says that real discussions take place and real solutions can be “canvassed” when meetings are done in small numbers, off the record and our of the public eye.
The two sides are slated to meet today in New York.
Yesterday, Darren Dreger tweeted “I highly doubt we will hear much post-mtng reax from either side Tues. Less is more as talks enter a very critical phase.”
Tim Panaccio added “Don’t look for a presser TUE after CBA meetings. NHL wants to go the silent route w/a statement, at best, like it did this weekend the league feels the less said publicly, the better off. also, talks expected to go thru the week.”
