This morning Wayne Gretzky was on SportsNet radio in Canada and spoke about the lockout.
He told Brady and Lang that he thinks that a deal could be done soon and a season starting soon after.
Gretzky said, “My gut still tells me that over the next six weeks I think that they will get a deal done, and I think there’s too many people that want to play, and I still see hockey being played come January for a 40- or 50-game schedule. Let’s all try and stay positive and hopefully the two sides can come to an agreement and get hockey back in the sports pages and away from the business pages.”
Gretzky adds that “the game survives because its an incredible game.”
