Read: Bill Daly Comments On The Differences Between The Two Sides

Bill Daly was on NHL Radio this morning and Nick Cotsonika tweeted out some of what Daly said about the differences between the NHL and the NHLPA.

  • The NHLPA is still asking for a salary cap of $67.25 million that never goes down. They are also still looking for compliance buyouts and caps on escrow
  • Daly says that games on New Years Eve are “unlikely”
  • He says that a disclaimer of interest would put the season in “jeopardy”
  • Daly says that his quote of “the hill we will die on” in regards to five-year contract limits came from someone in the ownership room

Does anybody think Lynn is a possibility for the Jets OC if the Gailey deal falls through?

I'm happy with any news that isn't Chan Gailey signing a contract with the Jets.

What the hell is this Idzik 2.0 ?

I'm beginning to think it's Johnson putting a LID on the flow of Information!!!

I don't see anywhere where Rodgers has been signed and I'm sure it's NOT due to Bowles!!!

It's not that critical not to feed us fans even a morsel of information !!!

Great for Lynn, I hope he gets to join Pettine's crew.   Good luck with QB situation up there.

On another note, it's amazing that Macc & Bowles have not gotten their coaching staff in yet.

Good luck to Lynn I've been happy with the job he's done for us as RB coach.

@levi I'm not sure, but Rex did ring offensive coaches with him so if he did try to bring Lynn, it'd seem that Lynn said no thanks. He didn't get his start with Rex like some other guys and clearly has options elsewhere, so good for him.

Some guys may change their minds or get offers in other places they might like better. I've been reading conflicting info concerning Chan Gaily with the latter notion; that can't be unusual, especially for someone out of the game for a while. Also note that very significant turnover has taken place; I'd be really worried if they took until the draft to finalize their coaching staff, but it's much too early to fret now. It's possible they could be waiting to interview someone in Seattle or NE's' staff.  At any rate, it would be foolish for Gaily to be their only choice; first choice aside.  Let's also consider who Gaily would possibly be up on to add to his staff. Two years is quite a while in football time. If he's had time to think about it, he also has to think about how they fit in with the other organizations he might actually be considering offers from.  I wouldn't worry too much about it for now.

@Brendan  Yeah I would think Rex tried to take him. He's done a good job I hope he gets an OC job.

If it is Puppetface then he is even a bigger hypocrite than I thought  for allowing Sexy Rexy to say ANYTHING he wanted any time he wanted to the press !!!
