Bill Daly was on NHL Radio this morning and Nick Cotsonika tweeted out some of what Daly said about the differences between the NHL and the NHLPA.
- The NHLPA is still asking for a salary cap of $67.25 million that never goes down. They are also still looking for compliance buyouts and caps on escrow
- Daly says that games on New Years Eve are “unlikely”
- He says that a disclaimer of interest would put the season in “jeopardy”
- Daly says that his quote of “the hill we will die on” in regards to five-year contract limits came from someone in the ownership room
