NEWS: Michael Del Zotto Signs With The Lakers

The Rapperswill-Jona Lakers have announced that Michael Del Zotto has agreed to join their team.

Del Zotto is scheduled to be in Switzerland tomorrow and may play on Friday.

In their release, they write “Scouts and experts praise Michael Del Zottos strengths: “its excellent understanding of the game, the excellent launch attacks and a firearms license subject to income violence”. The fans see him as the most talented offensive defender since Rangers legend Brian Leetch.”

Del Zotto joins Jason Spezza on this team.

The Lakers play Rick Nash and Davos three more times this season, 12/4, 1/12, 1/29.

In a follow up tweet, Del Zotto added “Excited to get back on the ice.”

THIS SECTION has been following Del Zotto and the stories of him going to Europe.

They should lock Geno out of the next meeting.

Geno's lost the team.  And Rex has now lost the team - at least temporarily - for not benching Geno for missing the team meeting to go see a freaking movie.

I have no doubt Geno should be watching film.  Game film and lots of it.

In other news: Sparano is burying a football in Oakland. Ahhh this brings back memories.

I can't tell who is more full of glee right now, Lupica or Fatcessa. They're both ecstatic.

I think we should institute the Hank Plan:

1. Replace Idzik and Rex with Mangini.

2. Cut everyone in the front 7 except Harrison and Harris.

3. Sign Gholston and BT.

4. Trade the rest of the team for Revis.

Did I get that right?

@UncleJoesFunnyFarm

I want to get excited about that, but I can't.  I can't count on Berry anymore.  I need to see him suiting up for multiple weeks first.

@Tooned In  "The Jets charge a ton for tickets because they think the market will give them a ton for tickets," said the moron with no clue. As a season ticket holder i can tell you the market isn't willing to pay a ton for tickets. Has this guy been on the ticket exchange to see the thousands of tickets available for sale AT COST. It's almost impossible to move tickets (when you can't go) and when you do sell them you end up losing money after the house takes their lofty share.

I think Brett Ratliff, Colt McCoy, Jason Trusnik, Dimitri Patterson, and QB coach Chad Pennington have to be in there somewhere.

Also, Brett Favre needs to get syphilis and die.  That has to be part of that plan as well.

Maybe Berry can take Patterson's role of decent CB when actually on the fieldn which is rarely. Without going insane and AWOL, that is

@Tequila Joe @Tooned In That sucks, I feel for the fans that have to pay out the butt to go to the stadium. The only solution I see is not paying and stop going to games. I doubt that will happen.

@Tequila Joe You seem to not realize that you are the market he is referring to.

@Tequila Joe @Tooned In

We're not talking about the secondary market for tickets here, though, just the primary one.

The Jets charge a ton for tickets because people are still willing to pay them a ton, as evidenced by the fact that the stadium is usually full and there's numerous season ticket holders (such as yourself).  The fact that many of those season ticket holders have a hard time recouping that investment on the secondary market for the games they want to re-sell isn't very relevant to the Jets, by and large.

As in, you're not going to get a ton for your iPod if you resell it, but Apple doesn't really care about that.

Now, maybe the team could sell a few more tix on the primary market by lowering the price, but in the long run, since fans haven't started canceling their season tix packages en masse, they're probably right to keep the prices high while waiting for the team to improve and demand for tix to move from "generally comfortably high" to "consistently sold out".

I was in $130 seats for the Lions game for $45. StubHub FTW. Er....FTL given that day's result.

@Tooned In I posted it in the Daily Links thread and people basically told me to shut up and Barnwell isn't an NFL writer. So...good luck!

@UncleJoesFunnyFarm

Geno is going to light it up.  Marty is in 4th and goal, six seconds left, down by 6, mode.  We're going to seem some gunslinging from here on out.

@Brendan @Tooned In I don't think it is an overly positive review of Idzik, but a fair assessment at this point in regards to cap rollover and Idzik's thought process of why they did not spend money this year.
