Buzz: Henrik Lundqvist Is Talking With Frolunda

1:32PM: In the Daily News, Pat Leonard writes that Henrik and his brother Joel talked today about the chance Henrik could return to play for Frolunda.

Joel said  “It would be awesome to play together again, so we’ll see what happens.”

9:23AM: According to a Swedish report from SVT, Henrik Lundqvist is in talks with his former club in Sweden, Frolunda, about playing there during the lockout.

Reports out of Sweden say that the ruling to forbid teams in the SEL from signing locked out players has been overturned.

Lundqvist said on Wednesday that he is planning to stay in New York for a little while but could return to Sweden shortly after.

His brother Joel is the captain of Frolunda. Frolunda is also looking to bring in Erik Karlsson and Loui Eriksson.

Lundqvist has suggested in the Swedish press that he won’t sit out an entire season.

 The Rangers played Frolunda during training camp before last season and Lundqvist was given an “A” on his jersey.

I think this kid is going to be a special player. It will take a little time to get acclimated to the pro game, but once he gets his bearings he's going to wreak havoc on receivers over the middle.

@Hanknaples Hey, missed you Hank. Are you having positive or negative feelings for 2014-15?

@drfc

Thanks !!

Hard to say although the Jets are a better team this year with a stronger Defense!!

The addition of CJ2K, Decker, Vick (when needed) and the clutch play of Patterson makes for a lot of hope and excitement.

However, I still believe the team lacks Offensive Identity and that I'm afraid is the achilles heel....the team just doesn't feel complete !!

I may be wrong but I see the Jets missing the playoffs at 9-7 !!

@drfc @Hanknaples no one knows what will happen this year. lets face it. injuries will play a factor. they will be a good team but good teams don't always make the playoffs. as far as being a great team i think that is unrealistic.

I believe our run defense will be great, sadly can't say the same about the secondary.
