Through two games the Rangers have been shorthanded four times while the Flyers have been shorthanded 12 times.

Through two games the Flyers have taken the following penalties:

  • Slashing: Zac Rinaldo
  • Cross-Checking: Brayden Schenn

Game Two:

  • Holding: Wayne Simmonds
  • Roughing: Sean Couturier
  • Slashing: Jake Voracek
  • Holding: Kimmo Timonen
  • Holding: Braydon Coburn
  • Interference: Nicklas Grossman

There have also been coincidental minors: Game one: Hi-Sticking: Brayden Schenn/Coincidental with Mats Zuccarello: Roughing. In game two, Interference: Andrew MacDonald/Coincidental with Mats Zuccarello: Diving, Cross Checking: Wayne Simmonds/Coincidental with Derek Dorsett: Diving and Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Scott Hartnell/ Coincidental with Dominic Moore: Unsportsmanlike Conduct:

Flyers coach Craig Berube said, “We don’t want to give them six PPs per game, we need to be better. You are going to get penalties just because but you can’t take emotional, dumb ones and careless penalties. It will hurt you.” (Flyers)

In game one the Ranger were called for High Sticking: Ryan McDonagh and in game two the Rangers were called for Holding: Carl Hagelin, Interference: Anton Stralman, Too Many Men on the ice.
