Aaron Portzline tweets that Columbus has traded Jeff Carter to LA for Jack Johnson and a first round pick.
Portzline says that the deal will be made official by Scott Howson soon.
Darren Dreger also says that the deal is done.

Darren Dreger and Bob McKenzie both tweet that the LA Kings and Columbus Blue Jackets are working on a deal that would send Jeff Carter to LA and possibly feature Jack Johnson going to Columbus.
Carter was acquired by the Blue Jackets before the draft for Jakub Voracek and the eighth overall pick. He has ten years left on his contract with a cap hit of $5.27 million.
Johnson, 25, is signed through 2018 with a cap hit of $4.3 million.
Update: 6:46PM Helene Elliott tweets that the deal is alive and could be complete tonight and that Jack Johnson would be the player going back to Columbus.
She adds that LA will probably send their first round pick as well.
Update: 7:01PM: Elliott tweets that it is believed to be Carter for Johnson and a first.
