After giving up at least one power play goal in eight straight games, the Rangers have been perfect on the PK in theri last three games going 11 for 11.
Asked before the game against the Bruins about the penalty kill, John Tortorella talked about how the Rangers were trying to be more aggressive and told the Daily News, “I think that has gotten better for us. We’re not as disjointed as we were earlier in the year. I think we’ve done a better job on faceoffs, also. That’s helped us.”
Darroll Powe told the Rangers website, “we are making an effort to get in lanes and getting pucks out. The biggest thing is just trying to out work the power play. There is a lot of communication. When one guy is going then everyone has to be going.”
Jeff Halpern said, “Hank has played great. Your goalie is always the best penalty killer. He has come up with great stops to bail us out at certain points. A lot of the credit goes to him.”
On Lundqvist, Powe added “Hank has been awesome. That obviously helps having him in there.:
