The Rangers have lost three games in a row, picking up a point in the shootout loss to Ottawa, and prior to the game on Saturday against Montreal, 70% of readers said that they were worried about the Rangers.
Even with their recent struggles, the team has made sure to note that the word panic is not entering into their conversations.
John Tortorella said yesterday that the key message to his team was not to panic about the current situation, “The message is don’t panic. Our lat ten games we are 5-3-2….we had a chance to win in Ottawa. We are still right there in Montreal, I don’t either team generated much offense until we lost ourselves with some chances. I think it’s a matter of staying with it and taking it day by day.”
Captain Ryan Callahan said, “there is no panic in here or anything. We have lost a couple of games but we have a confident group, we know what we can do and it’s another game.”
Dan Girardi stated, “we aren’t panicking here by any means.”
Tortorella put forth this same kind of attitude on Saturday as well and said, “we just gotta try to gain some confidence, stabilize ourselves. Coming into the last three games we are playing pretty well. We can’t get into a panic mode. We just need to get more minutes consistently out of our players. “
