On April 6th, the Rangers defeated the Hurricanes in Carolina by a score of 4-1.
The Rangers had two power play goals, Derek Stepan and Rick Nash, and two goals in 31 seconds early in the second period.
Carolina fired 49 shots on net and Henrik Lundqvist stopped 48 of them.
Today, Lundqvist told the Carolina website that the Rangers left Carolina the last time feeling as if they stole two points and that can’t be the case tonight,”we have to be really determined here, come in and play a really good game. The last time Carolina played really well. They had a strong game and we were a little lucky to get the win. You have to expect a tough game and focus in on all the things we have been doing well and try to get the two points.”
