The Rangers play the Islanders tonight, Capitals on Sunday and Montreal on Tuesday before a two game swing in Ottawa and Montreal. The Rangers then return home to play Winnipeg and Tampa Bay to close out the month.
So far this season the Rangers are 5-2 at MSG and 2-3 on the road.
Jeff Halpern told the Rangers website yesterday that this is a big stretch of games coming up, “it puts a little pressure on us to make sure that we take advantage of our home games. I think it’s important when you have these home stands to get wins and get some separation. It starts with one game at a time but these home games almost become more important than road games because you have to get points in those games.”
