In the NY Post, Larry Brooks spoke with Rangers coach John Tortorella who said that he has some concerns about how the lockout will impact the Rangers and their mental edge when training camp finally starts.

Tortorella told Brooks that he he knows his players are trying to keep that edge and stay in shape but worries that they lost their mindset during the lockout.

Torts said that when training camp does start it will be a collaborative effort between him and his players in terms of how hard to push and how best to approach preparing for the season.

“This isn’t going to be me making decisions independently. We’ll figure this out as a group. There’s too much in front of us not to approach it that way.”
