According to Bruce Garrioch, the NHL didn’t like that the NHLPA increased the amount in the make whole that the players suggested.
The players plan calls for $393 million to go into the make whole while the owners don’t want to budge from $211 million.
Aaron Ward tweets “In NHLPA estimation, it would take $592M to honor current contracts and it is a concession to take a $200M ‘haircut’ in this proposal”
Earlier today Sidney Crosby said that the NHLPA is offering much less than they think they deserve from the make whole.
