12:42PM: Elliotte Friedman says that the best part of yesterday was both sides showing a willingness to negotiate. He says that it’s the first step in what should lead to the lockout being resolved.
The players taking part in the meetings today are Backes, Campoli, Darche, Hainsey, Lucic, Malhotra, S. Thornton, Westgarth.
12:58PM: Pierre LeBrun tweets that after today, when the Make Whole proposal will be discussed, we will have a better indication on where the talks are going.
Friedman added that only when the two sides can agree on the process of the make whole, will other things start to fall into place.
