Read: It’s Time For Gary and Don To Put Their Jobs On The Line

In the Toronto Globe and Mail, Eric Duhatschek writes that Don Fehr and Gary Bettman should both plea to resign on the day the NHL cancels this season if they can’t come to an agreement on a new CBA.

He writes, “If Bettman and Fehr knew the clock was ticking on their respective careers and still couldn’t come up with a new agreement – in good conscience and because of their respective belief systems – then so be it. No one is asking them to sacrifice their personal integrity to make a deal they cannot live with.”

Duhatschek says that while this idea could bring new people to the table, he doubts that neither Fehr nor Bettman “have the guts” to do this.
