At CBC, Elliotte Friedman writes that one of the encouraging signs of the CBA negotiations is that many of the involved parties are keeping their mouths shut and not leaking out much information.
Friedman says that the two sides are finally showing how serious they are about making a deal, but that there is no guarantee that it leads anywhere.
He does note that even during the final stages of the NBA lockout there were arguments and heated discussions but it ended with a deal getting done.
In closing, Friedman says “I know many of you are hopeful. But don’t get excited until it’s done. There are a few potential traps and it will take time to navigate them.”
