Buzz: What The Two Sides Are Meeting About/What The Owners Want
Larry Brooks sent out some tweets saying that the NHL is determined to ending front loaded contracts like the one that Brad Richards signed.
He adds that amnesty buyouts, which wouldn’t count against the cap are on the table.
On the make whole, Brooks tweets “Two sources report NHL would assume entire make-whole with at least a portion deferred but unclear whether that applies only to first 2 yrs”
Pierre LeBrun tweets that the first few hours of the meetings today were spent talking about revenue sharing and not, at least not yet, the make whole agreement.
My opinion is NHL is not likely to go much further than it will this week and even if it does, future damage by ongoing lockout negates it.—

9PM: The meetings for tonight have ended and according to multiple reports the two sides will meet again tomorrow.
Once again neither side, according to Pierre LeBrun, is speaking to the media.
