8:15AM: In the NY Post, Larry Brooks confirms most of these details and adds that the salary cap would now be $4 million over the mid-point, instead of eight, while the cap floor would remain at eight million under the mid-point.
He also adds that there would be no signing bonuses in the new five-year deals and that the salary would be the same every year.

9:58PM: According to Renaud Lavoie of RDS, the NHL has proposed the following changed to the NHLPA:
- Reduce players hockey related revenues to 57% from 46%. (Each % point is a loss of $30 million for players)
- 10 seasons in NHL before being UFA
- Contract limits of FIVE YEARS.
- no more salary arbitration
- FIVE-YEAR entry level contracts instead of Three-Years.
The CBA expires on September 15th.
