Buzz: The Gap Between The Players and Owners Is…….Significant
At RDS, Renaud Lavoie writes that the gap between the players and owners on the make whole agreement is still “significant.”
He adds that the owners have agreed to honor all contracts in the first two years of the agreement and that is leading to the difference between the two sides.
“In short, even if both parties argue that the fact that negotiations are continuing is proof that the discussions are positive, it is false. They are not negative either. They are simply neutral.”
Lavoie added in a tweet, “The only good news, they are still talking and trying hard to find a solution on all the issues.”
NHL presented what in essence is its best offer in response to the PA's presentations on Wed. Still large gap with negotiations resuming.—
