Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 I have a test in five minutes, but it'll get weird in about an hour. tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 I can read between those lines. You're greasing yourself up. SackDance99 5pts @tsjc68 @J. Smooth At 6, I'd still like a guy with a better pass rush record. 8.5, with 3 coming in a bowl game against an inferior opponent, doesn't thrill me. a57se 5pts @SackDance99 @tsjc68 @J. Smooth Yeah, at least Gholston had 22.5 sacks his last two seasons at Ohio St. SackDance99 5pts Bud Dupree? Thoughts? nesboogie 5pts @SackDance99 at 6? J. Smooth 5pts @SackDance99 Rawer than sushi. Not a first round player. Would rather have Eli Harold. eurojet 5pts Hell to the no tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @SackDance99 Rawer than sushi. Yes.Not a first round player. Probably not.Would rather have Eli Harold.NO.They're both raw athletic freaks who are more athlete than football player.I'd rather have Dupree, though. Both Dupree and Harold struggled mightily against good opponents (as in, they both got snuffed) but, when not clearly outclassed by smarter OLs, at least Dupree wins more often and in more ways (and is the better lump of clay of the two of them anyway).I wouldn't take either of them at R1#6. I would be okay with taking Dupree at R2#37 but not Harold. SackDance99 5pts @tsjc68 @J. Smooth @SackDance99 Cimini theorizes that Bowles might be from the Parcells school and like big OLBs. and Casserly mocked Dupree to the Jets (in a trade down with the Browns to 12). He doesn't sound like a good pick at 6 because he's not a polished pass rusher and has the "inconsistency" tag. But, over Harold? Between 2 raw prospects, I'll take the bigger guy with more upside. tsjc68 5pts @SackDance99 @tsjc68 @J. Smooth Basically, that.I'm not a fan of either but I'm also not dumb enough to ignore the fact that Bud Dupree is a superb athletic specimen, and there comes a point where drafting him and trying to make him into something becomes the smarter move over taking some lesser prospect who is more instinctive and polished but doesn't have the body type to win in the NFL. SackDance99 5pts @tsjc68 @SackDance99 @J. Smooth It's always tough to evaluate good players on bad teams. As a scout/fan, you'd like to see a non-stop motor and domination even on a bad team. The reality is that losing does weigh on a team, especially when the defense is ahead of the offense. Dupree is an enigma that, if figured out, could pay decent dividends because, besides pass rush technique, he has a lot of skills in his tool box. nesboogie 5pts I'm a Scar fan also lol. But Mike Davis is great, 4.38 at his pro day, some injury issues though. But I would take him. nesboogie 5pts Mike Davis, anyone? tsjc68 5pts @nesboogie Yes.NESBOOGIE IS ON A ROLL TODAY J. Smooth 5pts @nesboogie Tevin Coleman > nesboogie 5pts @J. Smooth @nesboogie wouldn't mind either tsjc68 5pts https://twitter.com/Rotoworld_Draft/status/587657274551701504 SackDance99 5pts @tsjc68 Doesn't run with scissors, looks both ways before he crosses the street, always uses a condom....he's safe. J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 (Crosses Klatt off of list of people I take seriously) tsjc68 5pts (writes "never listen to Joel Klatt again" in diary) eurojet 5pts He has a point though bradysucks 5pts 6 foot 6 from a pro offense in college I am on board with Mannion LATE in the draft J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks He wasn't good in that offense, though. That's an important thing to consider. tsjc68 5pts @bradysucks I am on board with Mannion LATE in the draftRound 8. eurojet 5pts Matt Ryan wasnt good in college either J. Smooth 5pts @eurojet That's false. He came in 7th in Heisman voting that year, threw for 4500 yards. tsjc68 5pts @eurojet He does, if the point is "Which of these college QBs is the safest bet to be an awful pro QB?" J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 @bradysucks Too high. tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 @bradysucks I'm giving BS an olive branch. tsjc68 5pts @bradysucks M-A-R-I-O-T-A tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 https://twitter.com/MattGrumbrecht/status/587657972521836544 tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 https://twitter.com/MrPenutsKoolAid/status/587658166168485890 J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 @J. Smooth He is safe, though. We all know exactly what he'll be as a pro. tsjc68 5pts @bradysucks So, what you're saying is that he needed Brandin Cooks to avoid being bad.Sounds like a UDFA.Round 8, final offer. tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 He'll be Ryan Lindley. bradysucks 5pts I have repeatedly said if I ran the Jets draft that I would only draft Winston or Mariotta this yearOf the remaining guys - none of them are starting caliber tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 @bradysucks ...Nah, I think you finally crossed the line. Mannion sucks, but probably not THAT bad. J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks Jealous? Of what? tsjc68 5pts @bradysucks I don't hate Manziel. I pity him and I pity the Browns for being dumb enough to take him. bradysucks 5pts He wasn't good in 2014. He was good with Brandin Cooks in 2013. He is inconsistent but he is still a pure pocket passer with great size from a pro offense in collegeI like Mannion better in the late rounds than I do Hundley in round 2I'd rather develop a pocket passer from a pro offense a57se 5pts @bradysucks I'd rather take Chris Bonner in the late rounds... a57se 5pts @tsjc68 @bradysucks He keeps thinking of Ray Liotta... jetsfan65 5pts @bradysucks I don't think Hundley will go in the 2nd. QB's often fall like Geno and Nassib did. People were saying Nassib would go in the 1st or 2nd and i think the Giants ended up taking him in the 4th.I actually like Hundley and wouldn't mind him in the 3rd or if we get lucky in the 4th. That's way better than taking Mariota with the 6th overall or even worse trading up for him. I don't mind taking a QB in the later rds either... J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 @bradysucks Johnny Manziel > Sean Mannion bradysucks 5pts The Manziel hate never gets less amusing from you jealous haters.... bradysucks 5pts Round 1 Mariotta QB OregonRound 2 Phillip Dorsett WR Univ MiamiRound 3 Tre Jackson G Florida StRound 4 TJ Yeldon RB Alabama bradysucks 5pts Dorsett won't be there at 70 and he would compliment Decker/Marshall perfectly He has the speed the Jets need and has upside potential J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/2d/16/52/2d1652e9b66e8d6dace9dc787361ee05.jpg bradysucks 5pts That was funny....lolI laughed Even though you are wrong. That draft would be delicious tsjc68 5pts @bradysucks M-A-R-I-O-T-A tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @bradysucks Tre Jackson and TJ Yeldon? Blech. J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 @J. Smooth @bradysucks and No to Phil Dorsett at 37. Love him at 70, hate him at 37. J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks For who? We get 1 good player, reach for another pretty good player, and take two not good players. tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 @bradysucks Dorsett at #37 is actually my favorite pick of the four. J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks Not that I don't like Dorsett. I just don't like him at 37. J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 @J. Smooth @bradysucks Nelson Agholor at R2#37 > Phillip Dorsett at R2#37 tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 @bradysucks Probably. Dorsett's upside is higher, though. nesboogie 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 @bradysucks Yea, I agree Smooth bradysucks 5pts We get a potential franchise QB along with a RB who can catch (and is good after the catch. ) We get a guard who could be a good player and a WR who is explosive in terms of speed tsjc68 5pts @bradysucks Tre Jackson and TJ Yeldon look like a backup G and a RB#3 though. J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks TJ Yeldon stinks, first of all. I don't want him in the first four rounds. Tre Jackson isn't great either. I'm not opposed to the positions you drafted, I'm opposed to the players themselves. tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @bradysucks You have to pay the speed premium. bradysucks 5pts Maybe....big maybeI'd rather draft the speed J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks Nelson Agholor is fast too. bradysucks 5pts Yeldon is a 3rd RB but he would serve his purpose as a pass catching threat from the backfield. I'd rather have Duke Johnson but he isn't there in round 4Disagree about Jackson who I think is an NFL starting guard with upside tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @bradysucks He is. However:Agholor: http://mockdraftable.com/player/4778/Dorsett: http://mockdraftable.com/player/4793/ J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 @J. Smooth @bradysucks He also has the lowest size grade I've ever seen. tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 @bradysucks I had forgotten that Agholor's arms were two inches longer than Dorsett's.BACK ON TEAM AGHOLOR bradysucks 5pts I like JacksonI am not married to the idea of Yeldon but thought he'd be there in round 4. He is a good pass catcher who can get yards after the catch J. Smooth 5pts @tsjc68 @J. Smooth @bradysucks Also, R. Jay Soward is one of Dorsett's comparables. That's a knock. J. Smooth 5pts @bradysucks He's not that good at that, though. tsjc68 5pts @J. Smooth @tsjc68 @bradysucks If I had not seen him in person, I would not believe that R.Jay Soward was a real guy. a57se 5pts @bradysucks Barf.
