Read: Would Squeezing In As Many Games As Possible Be Worth It

Craig Custance at ESPN Insider spoke with former Ranger and former Wolf Pack goalie Jason Labarbera about how it would feel to get as many games squeezed into a condensed schedule as they can.

He notes that it would benefit players financially to play as many games as possible but the wear on the body may not be worth it.

“On the surface, that doesn’t sound too bad, but when you’re playing 17 games instead of 16 or an extra back-to-back game or something, that stuff catches up with you. As a player, you get your money, but is it worth it?”

A condensed schedule has been described as some as a disgrace.

The NBA played a 66 game schedule last year starting on Christmas day.
