Throughout the playoffs, John Tortorella has kept a positive attitude, as have most of the players, about how the Rangers have been playing, even as they fell down in the series 3 games to 2.
Following the Rangers loss in game five, Tortorella said, “I feel better about the team tonight than after a few wins. We go to Ottawa and play the same way and keep banging away. Everything was good about our game except that our power play struggled.”
Tortorella said during a conference call yesterday that the team kept doing it’s thing and it paid off, “Our team has responded all year long. A lot of our game throughout the series has been very good. We just have not found a way to make a big play at a key time, a big offensive play especially at a key time. Last night, in the second period, we did. This group of guys, they have just gone about their business and that’s the way we’ll approach Game 7.”
