Read: The Rangers Big Line/How The Team Was Reminded They Can Create Offense

Since being reunited, Marian Gaborik, Brad Richards and Rick Nash have combined for a total of 32 shots.

17 of those shots were on net, three were blocked and 13 missed the net.

Nash, with a goal, is the only one who has recorded a point in the past two games.

John Tortorella spoke after the Rangers win on Tuesday about how he wants that let to start feeling better offensively and he is aware that there will be defensive shortcomings with that trio. He says that he asks them to “meet us” half way in terms of playing away from the puck. Tortorella said “they did some good things.”

Dave Maloney said on MSG that the key for that line is creating chances in open ice as the “experiment” continues to grow.

Marian Gaborik spoke with Sam Rosen and described how Brad Richards and Rick Nash can both create space and openings for him.

In terms of creating offense, John Tortorella told Sam Rosen before Monday’s game that as part of their preparation that day, the team was shown “every freakin goal that we scored this year.”

Tortorella said that he did this to remind them that even with their losing streak and non-existent scoring, this team has scored before.
