John TortorellaIt was revealed on Tuesday night that the Rangers would play two games at Yankee Stadium as a way to build up local interest heading into  the Super Bowl at Met Life Stadium.

He says that the league has wanted to play in Yankee Stadium since 2008 and with the league expanding outdoor games in the USA past the Winter Classic, they have their opportunity.

Allen notes that the league gave the Rangers two games, one against the Devils and one against the Islanders, as a way of not angering the left out team and the boost it could give the Isles and Devils with season tickets.
