Read: The Most Hated Rangers Opponent

In the latest issue of The Hockey News, they look at the most hated opponent that every team in the NHL has.

For the Rangers, that player is Marty Brodeur. They write of Brodeur and the Rangers “Martin Brodeur is a natural fit as a primary recipient of catcalls from Rangers fans. They chant “Mart-ty! Mar-ty” after every goal. And the venom is mutual: in his biography, Brodeur wrote “I hate the Rangers and Lou hates them to death.”

Just thought of this obviously there's a negative chance of this happening.. But would anybody give up 5 straight first round picks for Andrew Luck lol

If we win again Mariota is out of the picture imo

Even when we win, we lose.

Vick should be resigned and play until we have our QB of the future.

Very proud of this team, and of Jarett.

Vick can be a good QB for us for a few years. Start him nest year & draft a QB to learn from him--Mariota is similar & would be ideal but He'll be gone if we go 6-10 etc. In any case, we start Vick next year & have a GM who gets us some CBs, we will be a contender in the AFC EAST

@Marvel He is average. Good QB play he puts up decent number. Not good enough to create anything on his own.

@Marvel

He's good. He's yet to have a good QB throwing to him. Swap him out with a guy like Sanders on the Broncos and I don't think the numbers would be all that different.

@Marvel Drew Stanton has 7 tds and 9 ints in his career with 67 QB rating. They didn't exactly cut Peyton Manning.

@Marvel no once we traded for tebow stanton asked to be cut or traded since he thought he wasnt going to be the #2 but the #3 qb on the team...if he would of stayed he would of started before tebow ....we actually got a 6th round pick from indy for stanton which we used on josh bush

@Marvel A lot of people like Winston over Mariota. I like that kid Prescott idk if he is coming out but he looks good in the 2nd rd or 3rd. Once the combine is over will have a clear picture which guys are studs and which one are duds. I hope we keep harvin and give the freaken ball to ivory!!!!!!

@Wolf Agree 100%. I don't understand the "Vick isn't part of the future..." line of thinking. He has at least 2-4 good years left in the tank. Even if he is a injury risk whoever the Jets draft next year can sit at the start of the season.  If Vick does get injured at some point you can insert the rookie into the lineup without the pressure of being named the de-facto starter and if he isn't ready you can put him back on the bench when Vick returns without it being a "Jets bench draft pick QB/draft pick QB a bust and was benched etc etc...

@WW85

Come on guy, wake up.

Vick played the same type of game geno played when every one was saying how good he was.

The running game was the hero today, Vick was kept from screwing things up.

@WW85 won't even follow the draft if Idzik is still here next year

This team won't go 6-10. Vick always gets injured and there is still not enough talent in the secondary

That's bS, I watched Kerley run wide open and Vick didn't look his way. The QBs are so scared to make a quick read it's crazy.

Which is why the new contract was weird to me.

Fair enough.. At the very least he's a solid backup

@Eddy Lopez @Marvel

Prescott has that size where I wouldn't think he'd make it that far in the draft. Especially if he makes it to the championship and possibly wins it. Cam Newton went 1st overall based on one great championship season. I don't see Prescott going that high, but I definitely don't see him falling to the 4th like Logan Thomas did either.

Marvel
Marvel

Prescott seems like a slightly better Tebow. I would go in a different direction if you want a 2nd 3rd round guy

@a57se Vick has played well 2 weeks in a row & didn't F%^& up which is what this team needs. He's light years ahead of Geno. But you will never give him credit anyway.

Vick was kept from screwing things up..............

The Jets were starving for a decent game from the QB and you can't even bring yourself to give him any credit.

Jet fans are an odd bunch.

@marcus81 @WW85 They'll probably still draft players whether you follow it or not.  We'll have to check with Woody and see.

@bradysucks @WW85 Vick is playing more ball control than he ever has in his career. He can stay healthy like this.

@Bklyn Dude @a57se @WW85

The guy completed 9 of 17 for 65 yards plus the one pass to graham for 67.

Let's not get all wobbly legged over Vick just yet.

Marvel
Marvel

If you make him the #4 and permanent PR then maybe it's a decent contract but he still needs a few catches or else it was a waste

juunit
juunit

@Marvel

Thomas was garbage. But the difference is Thomas seemed to regress after a really promising start to his career while Prescott sucked his first two years but seems to have figured it out this year and that difference has his team ranked #1 and probably heading to the championship. He should probably go back to school, but I doubt he will because I'm sure his stock will be way up if he finishes strong.

I mean, even if Prescott is the next Cam Newton, I'm not really sure what that says. I think a lot of people overrate how good Newton is. Year 4 and he looks like the exact same player he was as a rookie. Then again, Cam Newton would still be a better QB than what we've had for a while.

As long as we win games. The bar can go as low as it wants.

Everybody can go back to their Monday morning bashing of the Jets,  but Vick played a good game.

He hit the one big play to Graham and managed the game nicely after that.  He got first team reps and is starting to get his timing back.  Hopefully it continues.  That Pittsburgh team is a good football team.  The fan base should enjoy it and stop complaining for a while.

@Bklyn Dude   Agree 1000% but you got a bunch of trolls posting here who will never say anything positive about the team because they're here just to make trouble.  Ignore the idiots and eventually they go away.

@Floyd Toucanet @juunit @Marvel

You think so? The only year his Panthers were any good was last year when they had an unbelievably dominant defense. That defense has regressed this year and they've got a losing record again. Meanwhile his numbers are literally identical to his first 3 years.

marcus81
marcus81

@jaygo @Bklyn Dude team is 2-8 and you're happy? if the obvious decisions would have been made at the beginning of the season by the teams management this team would be in the play off hunt instead of being a spoiler

Floyd Toucanet
Floyd Toucanet

@juunit @Floyd Toucanet @Marvel Cam Newton year 3: 3379yards 24 TDs 13 INT 61.7% completion rate.  Tom Brady year 3: 3620 yards 23 Tds 12Int 60.2% completion rate.  (This was actually year 4 for Brady year 1 he only played one game so i didn't count it. His actual 3rd year the stats are similar anyway now that i look)  Not saying stats are everything but Cam is not in the best spot team wise. His coaching and receivers could use some improvement. People seem to forget he is still young.  He has the arm and accuracy to be great.

juunit
juunit

@Floyd Toucanet @juunit @Marvel

That was ten years ago. The stats don't translate with the way the league has changed in those ten years to benefit the passing game. And, you know, Tom Brady is an all-time HOF QB. He's not the norm. I'm really getting sick of people saying "well look at Tom Brady and Peyton Manning when they first got to the league." They don't represent the majority. Most of the guys who struggle for years at the beginning of their careers don't turn into the greatest QB of all time. Most of them just keep being mediocre.
