In the latest issue of The Hockey News, with Zach Parise and Ryan Suter on the cover, they look at each team in the league and decide which way they are trending based on their moves in the offseason.
They say that the Rangers are trending “neutral” and write “If Arron Asham can do a decent Brandon Prust impression, the Blueshirts are basically the same team that should have played for the Stanley Cup this year. The Big Four defense corps remains exemplary and it’s weird to think speedy, powerful Chris Kreider will play his first regular season game in October.”
In a poll asked earlier this week, 46% of readers think that the Rangers are as good as they were last season, 31% thinks they are better and 21% think they are worse.
60% of readers said that they would be happy with to see the Rangers head into next season with the team they already have.
